| Transportation Master Plans |
Transportation master plans give comprehensive, long-range guidance for developing, improving, and/or expanding a transportation system over time. They are guided by a set of goals, objectives, and policies.
Transportation master plans may be prepared by a local government to guide private and public development of a particular area or by a developer of a specific project. Comprehensive transportation master plans include: streets and highways; transit services and facilities; pedestrian and bicycle facilities; and Travel Demand Management (TDM) program. Transportation master plans are prepared in concert and in harmony with the land use and open space plans for the project they are intended to serve.
Wells + Associates has prepared the transportation component of master plans for: major real estate developments; college, school, and office campuses; downtowns; and sectors within larger metropolitan areas. |
