| Traffic Signal Modification - Washington, D.C. |
The Walton Companies are developing a new hotel at 1000 K Street consisting of 472 guest rooms, 8,000 square feet of function meeting space, and 200 underground parking spaces. Wells + Associates was retained to by The Walton Companies to prepare plans to modify the existing traffic signal at New York Avenue and 10th Street, N.W.
Wells + Associates prepared:

a communications plan showing connections between the subject intersection and other signals in the area, |
| • |
a staging plan depicted how the active signal would be maintained during the modifications, |
| • |
specifications, location of signal heads and controller, vehicle detector systems, area signage, pavement markings, and special notes |
Wells + Associates worked closely with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) in establishing the design requirements for these plans. All three plans were approved by DDOT. |
