 A-A Recycle & Sand applied for a special exception in Anne Arundel County for the continuation of and expansion of the A-A Recycle & Sand, Inc. facilities on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard (MD 915) in the Pasadena area of Anne Arundel County. A-A Recycle & Sand, the owner and operator of this wood recycling center, receives materials from local land clearing operators and from local residents. The material is then processed to separate topsoil and vegetation. The resulting wood and vegetation is processed for mulch and landscaping materials. The mulch and topsoil are then resold to the general public. Wells + Associates was retained by A-A Recycle & Sand, Inc. to provide a traffic impact analysis, transportation planning services, and testimony before the Anne Arundel County Zoning Hearing Examiner and the Anne Arundel County Board of Appeals. The impact study analyzed nearby intersections and roadway links to determine the impact of the project upon the local road system. Access improvements were recommended to ensured minimal impact on the adjoining neighbors. |
