 The 240-acre, 3.6-million-square-foot Columbia Gateway Corporate Park is located at the I-95/MD Route 175 interchange in Columbia, Maryland. It is served by trumpet interchanges on MD Route 175 and Snowden River Parkway and an internal loop road.Wells + Associates has been the traffic consultant to The Howard Research and Development (HRD) Corporation on  Gateway for more than 10 years. Wells + Associates prepared a master planning study that determined the level of overall development that could be adequately accommodated by the existing and improved roadway networks.Wells + Associates has also prepared access and circulation studies for 17 individual land parcels within the park. These studies included a review of the anticipated levels of service of the access drive/public roadway intersections, the need for auxiliary lanes on the public roadways at the driveway intersections, on-site circulation, and anticipated traffic operations. |
