 Safeway is one of the largest employers in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Safeway recently re-located their Washington metropolitan area warehouse/distribution center from cramped, obsolete facilities in Lanham to an ample, modern facility in Collington.The new distribution center features nearly 1.5 million square feet of state-of-the-art warehouse/ distribution space under one roof, ample on-site auto and truck parking, improved access, and ample on-site circulation. This new facility will meet this growing company's needs for years to come. Wells + Associates conducted a traffic impact study; prepared site access, circulation, traffic signal, signing, and striping plans; and provided expert witness testimony to Safeway. |
