 Wells + Associates has provided traffic engineering and transportation planning services to Loudoun Hospital Center for more than 10 years, at the original 22-acre hospital site in historic Leesburg and the new 50-acre  campus at Lansdowne in Loudoun County.Physical and operational solutions to long-standing parking problems at the Leesburg campus were recommended and successfully implemented. Wells + Associates conducted demographic, travel time, traffic impact, and site  planning studies that supported the move to the Lansdowne campus. Ambulance access to the emergency department was enhanced by a specially-equipped traffic signal at the Route 7/Lansdowne Boulevard intersection that allows ambulance drivers to actuate the green signal indication in emergencies, and a separate ambulance driveway.Wells + Associates is currently providing traffic engineering services in support of the phased expansion of the hospital. |
