Easton Town Center is a new model for super regional shopping centers. Phases I and II consist of: over one million square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment uses; 407,000 S.F. of department stores (Nordstrom and Lazarus), and 136,000 S.F. of office space, situated in an open-air, main street environment with a large town square, urban streets, and public spaces.
A total of 6,175 surface and structured parking spaces are uniformly distributed around the perimeter of the site, like a traditional shopping center. Vehicular access is provided by Easton Loop, which circumscribes the site. “Teaser” curb parking is provided on both sides of relatively narrow east-west and north-south streets within the town center.
Wells + Associates was retained by Steiner & Associates to conduct traffic and shared parking studies at Easton Town Center. Wells + Associates prepared site traffic and shared parking assessments of the existing center and identified areas of parking shortages and traffic conflicts.
Wells + Associates is now working closely with the design team to address these issues and to develop vehicular and pedestrian access/circulation, parking, and street plans to serve the planned expansion.
